Born and raised in Oceanside, I've been caring for pets in this area for over 10 years. When my husband and I moved to our Vista property in 2025, we renovated a dedicated boarding cottage The Dog Cottage to create a space where we would board our own dog - that actually feels like home instead of a kennel.

We're on a multi-generational property with my family. The Cottage is separate and climate-controlled, and we're on-site 24/7.

My Why

We have a 6-year-old Yorkipoo, Ziggy, who loves playing with other dogs but can get stressed out in chaotic situations.

Some boarding facilities have 100+ dogs at a time, which can be stressful for dogs like Ziggy (and honestly, a lot of dogs). That's why I keep things small here - with a maximum of 10 dogs, so everyone gets actual attention, not just supervision.

Here, you get home-style care with professional standards. I keep The Cottage clean with professional-grade, pet-safe products, and all dogs need to be current on vaccines. Your dog gets to socialize and play, but in a calm setting where they can actually relax. I'm pet CPR and First Aid certified, fully insured, and I send lots of updates and photos throughout the stay so you know your pup is doing great.
